Kevin Sites in the Hot Zone April 27
Time Magazine calls Kevin Sites in the Hot Zone one of 50 Coolest Websites on the Internet and Forbes Magazine lists Sites in The Web Celeb 25 this year.
As Yahoo!'s first news correspondent, veteran war reporter Kevin Sites covered 22 conflict zones in 19 countries. Sites comes to campus April 27, 7–8:30 p.m. with "A World of Conflict," a documentary chronicling Sites' journey, starting with the anarchy of Somalia in September 2005 and culminating with the explosive war between Israel and Hezbollah in summer 2006.
Sites' campus visit is sponsored by the UCLA International Institute, Latin American Center, African Studies Center, and Asia Institute.
